CANDLE SAFETY EXPLAINED:
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep. We recommend burning for a maximum of 4 hours each time you enjoy your candle.
- Don't place a burning candle within 2 feet of clothing, books, curtains, or other flammable objects.
- Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans, and any air currents. This keeps the flame burning steadily in the center of the candle.
- Trim the wick to ¼” before every burn. This helps prevent the flame from getting too large, and also cuts down on any excess soot or black smoke.
- Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
- Extinguish a candle if the flame gets too close to the candle holder or container.
- When burning multiple candles at once, always place them at least 3 inches apart from each other.
- A burning candle should never be used as a nightlight. Always extinguish any lit candles before going to sleep.
- A candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time, exceeding this could cause safety issues.
